We are a group of librarians and staff that support the research, scholarly communication, and teaching needs of faculty, staff, and students with a particular focus on faculty needs in these areas.
We provide the following services:

- Buying materials to support the needs of instructors and faculty
- Individualized assistance for students and their projects
- Browse Open Education Resources (OER) recorded webinar sessions from Spring 2023, to hear faculty stories about their experiences creating OER textbooks for their courses, connect OERs and RPT (DoERRS), learn how to use Pressbooks to create your own OERs, and explore Open Pedagogy on the UALC/UEN symposium website.

Faculty Center
The Faculty Center houses the audio, video, GIS and data management services, Teaching and Learning Technologies, and the Center for Teaching and Learning. The center is a one-stop location for getting teaching, learning and research support. A new comprehensive website initiated during the COVID-19 pandemic, The Faculty Center website is a online one-stop location for faculty information about COVID, teaching, technology.
Resources
Graduate & Undergraduate Services at Marriott Library seeks to develop partnerships to foster teaching, learning, and research opportunities at the University of Utah. We are a team of dedicated research librarians who can help you succeed.
The Knowledge Commons is the main research and technology service center that provides 268 computers and approximately 300 software applications. Both reference and technical help is offered.
Creativity & Innovation Services supports University of Utah students, staff, and faculty in their interdisciplinary research and productivity, with an emphasis on arts and design, multimedia technology, experiential learning, and multimodal communication.
Library classrooms can be reserved free of charge. Some rooms offer a full audio-visual suite.
Student Computing Services (SCS) in the Knowledge Commons houses an extensive media and streaming media collection and also loans technology devices and computer peripherals.
Get help with copyright and permissions questions related to your teaching materials.
Course materials staff assist in making electronic and print course-related materials available for students.
Course-specific, subject, and how-to guides with links to specialized library resources and services can be created for your courses.
Library subject specialists provide library instruction and curriculum support, collection building assistance, and develop subject guides.
Maintain your rights as a copyright holder and learn about open access and publishing initiatives.
More than 100 online collections are available in the Digital Library Collection.
The Fine Arts & Architecture Library houses specialized art, architecture, music, media arts and dance resources. It includes a reading room, scanner, video editing station and color printer.
Items not found at the Marriott Library can be requested through a free Interlibrary Loan service.
Request library materials through the library's catalog, and have them delivered to your office.
In-depth research consultations are available to researchers with a specific assignment, topic, or thesis.
Research data management support including storage, curation, visualization, data management planning, and more.
Special Collections provides in person and online access to Utah materials, rare and valuable library holdings on a variety of topics.
The Marriott Library utilizes a user-driven collection acquisitions model. Use this online form to suggest a book, subscription, or media purchase to add to our collection.
Add your scholarly work to our archive, USpace, an open access institutional repository.
Learn about your borrowing privileges at the Marriott Library
Most library resources are available to current students, faculty and staff from off campus. Login with your uNID and access research databases, e-journals, and e-books.
Connect to the library news, blog and newsletter stories.
Faculty, staff and students can use select software from any supported computer or device, on or off campus.
Submit the Graduate School's Visiting Scholar Registry form to take full advantage of your time at the U.
